The Process
We Know Where Your Shrimp Come From
Throughout that journey, quality control is consistently maintained, assuring you of the best tasting, freshest catch.
At Paul Piazza & Son, Inc., the journey from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to your freezer is a story of vertical integration. That means we know the storyline of your shrimp, from the waters where they were caught to the packing and transportation to your store or restaurant.
Throughout that journey, quality control is consistently maintained, assuring you of the best tasting, freshest catch.
The moment they are caught, these shrimp are placed in salt water freezers below deck. That’s just the first step in assuring their freshness.
They stay frozen in salt water until they reach our docks, where our employees unload them and carefully transported in our freezer trucks to the processing plant. These facilities are equipped and located so that we are now the industry’s year-round source for consistently high-quality, great-tasting Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp.
These inspected and certified facilities are where the shrimp are sorted, inspected, processed and packaged.
Throughout the process, Paul Piazza & Son closely manages every step. The traceabiity of our shrimp is vitally important to us. After all, we’ve built our reputation on more than 100 years of supplying the freshest, best quality products for our customers.
